News reaching the university of Ghana community indicate that the electoral commission has postponed the incoming UGSRC general elections. They election was scheduled to take place on Friday, 2nd September 2022 but the EC came out with a communique announcing their decision to postpone the elections until further notice. This is the whole statement released by the electoral commission. "Acting on Article 11(g) of the Constitutional Instrument (C.I 2022) regulating the conduct of the 2022 SRC elections, it is announced for the information of all candidates, stakeholders, and the entire university community that the 2022 SRC election has been postponed until further notice." "Postponing the election date has become necessary following the outlawed involvement of stakeholders, which has avoidably retarded the readiness of the Commission to supervise and conduct the 2022 SRC election, which was scheduled to take place on September, 2nd, 2022."
