6 KNUST students arrested for raping a level 100 student

A level 100 student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) claims that six young males, including her boyfriend, raped her in a group attack. The woman allegedly refused to play threesome despite Partick Fosu, her boyfriend, making repeated requests.

The lady was lured to a place, where she was gang-raped by her boyfriend and five of his buddies at about 11:40 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2022, according to the police. The victim informed police that her boyfriend, Patrick Fosu, texted her from her room at the Evandy Hostel in Ayeduase and asked her if she wanted a threesome.

The lady claimed that although her boyfriend was pressuring her to go on the adventure, she declined and said she would only engage in sexual activity with him if she felt like it. Then her boyfriend went on to say that he had been joking throughout their talk.

Fosu urged the victim to go with him to a friend's apartment at a nearby hostel at midnight. When the victim inquired, Fosu, however, denied that he intended to pursue his proposal for a threesome. Her partner is accused of luring her to a dimly lit room, forcing them to engage in unprotected intercourse, and inviting Kingsley Asiedu Andoh, who was already present, to join them.

According to the authorities, the other suspects also participated and committed the crime. The perpetrators were apprehended and given to the KNUST District Police when the victim, who had fled the scene distraught, later informed the university administration about the event.

Following their confession in their caution statement, the six defendants have been charged with rape.

The defendants, who appeared before the Asokore Mampong District Court and were remanded into police custody, were Assafuah Eric, Kingsley Asiedu Andoh, Thompson Nti, and Patrick Fosu.
