Covid 19 Update: New cases recorded





According to updates from the Ghana Health service as at Sunday, July 30, 18 new corona virus cases have been confirmed bringing the total active cases to 286. The Greater Accra region is leading the log with total active case count at 105.

A total of 168,007 cases have been recorded since the day Ghana confirmed its first case of the virus. 166,267 people have been able to recover from the virus and a total of 1,457 have sadly succumbed to the virus.
These are the regional distributions of the total confirmed cases.

Greater Accra Region - 95,649

Ashanti Region - 22,519

Western Region - 8,617

Eastern Region - 7,414

Volta Region - 6,130

Central Region - 5,749

Bono East Region - 3,143

Bono Region - 2,515

Northern Region - 1,869

Upper East Region - 1,799

Ahafo Region - 1,207

Western North Region - 1,134

Oti Region - 1,007

Upper West Region - 918

North East Region - 407

Savannah Region - 292


As at 24th July, 2022, the Ghana Health Service have been able to administer 18,396,070 covid 19 vaccines. This represents over 50% of the entire population. Some section of the Ghanaian populace have however refused to take the vaccine because of the stereotypes and scripture revelation behind it.
